Zoology collections
The Museum of Zoology at the University of Padova houses a number of renowned, and fascinating, historic collections. The oldest artefacts date to the period of Antonio Vallisneri (1661-1730), although the majority of specimens are from the 19th century. The arachnid collections of Giovanni Canestrini (1835-1900) are of particular scientific interest.
The Museum is temporarily closed to the public due to renovation activities.
